The Science Behind Medical Marijuana
Dale Deutsch, PhD, Professor in the Department of Biochemistry and Cell Biology at Stony Brook University, will share his expertise on the subject of marijuana and its usage in medicine. During his talk he will: discuss the differing effects of the two primary cannabinoids THC and CBD, examine the forces impeding government approval of medical marijuana research, explore the history of the medical marijuana, and discuss future possibilities for research.
